The QEH Development Office has won an IDPE Award for its 1590 Bursary Fund campaign, recognising its transformative impact on students. We are delighted to announce that the QEH Development Office has been honoured with an annual award from the Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE). QEH was recognised in the Ambition and Progress Campaign (under 5 years) category for our pioneering work on the 1590 Bursary Fund campaign.

This prestigious award celebrates the transformative impact of the 1590 Bursary Fund, a campaign designed to offer life-changing opportunities to QEH students. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are able to provide vital financial support to qualifying students, ensuring that a QEH education remains accessible to all.

As one of our bursary recipients, Tom Conradi (2012–2019), shared in his testimonial:

“The Bursary Fund at QEH enables the school to support students who need and truly deserve it. Without this funding, I wouldn’t have had access to the experiences and opportunities QEH provided, and that would have significantly changed the course of my life. The school’s ethos of giving back—’whilst we have time, let us do good’—is something I deeply admire. It’s important not to underestimate how even a small donation can contribute to transforming someone’s life. I didn’t realise it at the time, but looking back, I can see how transformative and impactful my experience at QEH was.”

This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our community. From the visionary donors in the 1590 Society to the members of the 1590 Club, your generosity continues to bring our motto to life: ‘Whilst we have time, let us do good.’

We offer our thanks to everyone who has helped us build a more accessible QEH and brighter futures for our students. Your contributions are making a lasting difference.

You run a remarkable school with an ethic that is truly unique. It shines through in each and every boy. There’s something in the way the teachers know every boy’s talent and in the way the boys support each other (while also embracing real competition!) that’s just remarkable.
