South Africa Cricket Tour 2025

QEH pupils enjoyed an unforgettable cricket tour in Cape Town, competing fiercely, exploring iconic sights, and spotting wildlife at Aquila.

During the half-term break, 33 QEH pupils ventured on an unforgettable cricket tour to Cape Town, South Africa. Over the course of the trip, QEH played fixtures against four schools—Milnerton High School, Curro Durbanville, Victoria Cricket Club, and Bellville High School—winning four out of twelve matches. All the boys embraced the challenge of playing in a different country, and each of our U16, U14A, and U14B teams displayed great enthusiasm, skill, and sportsmanship.

Beyond the cricket, the boys had the opportunity to explore Cape Town’s incredible sights. A particular highlight was an early morning hike on the slopes of Table Mountain, where we were rewarded with breathtaking views over the city and Camps Bay. Later in the week, we enjoyed time at Camps Bay Beach, playing touch rugby, and visited the V and A Waterfront for shopping and sightseeing. A thrilling tobogganing experience down a mountain added to the excitement. Pupils rounded off the tour in style, visiting Aquila Game Reserve, pupils were lucky enough to spot four of the ‘Big Five’—lion, buffalo, rhino, and elephant—up close.

The tour provided not only valuable cricketing experience but also the chance for pupils to immerse themselves in the culture and landscapes of South Africa.

The Cricket Tour to South Africa is one of the many international trips available to pupils at QEH.

As our Year 13 students prepare for their exams, QEH marked this poignant moment with a day of celebration, reflection, and tradition. From heartfelt speeches and emotional goodbyes to the historic reading of The Charge

Our son is engaged and cheerful, getting on with the tasks which are diverse, interesting and meaningful for him.  It’s a big enough workload to keep him busy but not to overwhelm.
Thank you so much for all you are doing.
