QEH continues to excel with their A-Level results

A morning of success and celebration at QEH as students collect their outstanding A-Level results.

QEH celebrates another set of outstanding A-level results, with our Year 13 cohort continuing the school’s tradition of academic excellence.

The school community gathered this morning to celebrate the class of 2025. Some of their remarkable highlights include; over half of all grades (53.2%) awarded being at A*–A, comparing very favourably again with the national figure in England of 28.2% and exceeding the national average for independent schools. Additionally 18% of all grades were A*, with 78.1% of grades being at A*–B, and an impressive 93% of grades at A*–C. Furthermore, over a third of students achieved three A* and A grades.

Two thirds of the grades awarded to students who joined QEH for Sixth Form in Year 12 were A*/A, a testament to how quickly they embraced all the opportunities the school offers.

Equally impressive are the results of those who began their QEH journey in Year 3 of our Junior School with 55% of their grades being at A*–A this year.

Head, Rupert Heathcote, said:

“It has been fantastic to see our Year 13 students celebrating such impressive results today. Their ambition, determination, and commitment to their studies have been rewarded with outcomes that open exciting opportunities for the future. It is especially pleasing to see such success from a cohort with more candidates than last year, demonstrating that QEH girls and boys continue to achieve at the very highest level. I am deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, whose expertise and encouragement have helped guide each student towards fulfilling their potential.”

Over 95% of students gained a place at the university of their choice. Value Added data shows that students of all abilities exceeded predictions and can now progress on to pathways of their choice

Every student with an Oxbridge or medical or veterinary school offer secured their place.

These A-level results reflect QEH’s commitment to empowering all students to reach their goals. Whilst today we celebrate their academic achievements, we also recognise how much this cohort of students have contributed to all aspects of QEH life. From superb drama productions to sporting participation and successes to being outstanding Peer Supporters and sensational musical performers.

As the class of 2025 move on to their next chapter, whatever that holds for them, they carry forward the QEH motto: “Whilst we have time, let us do good.” The school wishes them every success and looks forward to welcoming them back as part of its Old Elizabethans community.

Starting QEH Sixth Form after moving from an all-girls school was daunting — but this honest reflection shows how one student found confidence, connection, and community by saying

Live theatre is here to stay at QEH, as pupils from Years 3 and 4 put on an incredible production of Jack and the Beanstalk last week in our theatre.
