The Enrichment programme at QEH gives pupils in Years 7 to 10 an opportunity to take part in an exciting and meaningful programme that ensures our students are equipped to live a responsible and fulfilling life.

Pupils spend an afternoon a week participating in activities and sessions that have been designed to support and challenge them.

Enrichment covers 4 strands; Personal Development, Mental Wellbeing, Physical Wellbeing and Creativity.

Year 10 have been going along to elderly communities as part of their Enrichment activities where they help out with serving tea, playing board games, listening to music and generally chatting with the residents. Thank you to Little Sisters of the Poor, Trinity Lunch Club and Abbot’s Leigh Manor Nursing Home who have welcomed the boys.

Year 9 students will have their opportunity to take part in this activity during the summer term.

Boys in Year 7 and 8 are able to participate in some of their QE Award challenges during their Enrichment sessions.  For example, they go volunteer litter picking on nearby Brandon Hill,  learning shelter building and fire lighting skills in Belmont Wood and attending first aid workshops.

QEH’s annual Lizzies Awards celebrated pupil creativity with an inspiring showcase of short films based on the themes ‘Three Wishes’ and ‘Myths’.

Live theatre is here to stay at QEH, as pupils from Years 3 and 4 put on an incredible production of Jack and the Beanstalk last week in our theatre.
