QEH ISFA National U18 Bowl Final Champions

QEH’s 1st XI delivered a dominant performance in the ISFA National U18 Bowl final.

Six months after their opening fixture at Clayesmore, QEH’s 1st XI prepared to take on a formidable Ackworth side in the final of the ISFA National Under 18’s Bowl. The team along with enthusiastic QEH supporters set off from Bristol for a journey along the M4. Beaconsfield Town Football Club provided the perfect setting, with sunshine adding to the electric atmosphere.

From the outset, the team rose to the occasion, their pace and precision dictated the game. Early chances signalled intent, and soon, Wilf N’s stunning volley broke the deadlock, sending fans into a frenzy. Charlie B’s composed finish doubled the lead before a brilliant team move saw Aubrey R make it 3-0 before halftime.

Ackworth pushed hard in the second half, but QEH’s defense, led by Leo D and keeper Louis C, held firm. Tactical adjustments and tireless pressing saw out a professional performance, sealing an unforgettable victory.

As the final whistle blew, the celebrations began—QEH had done it. A historic unbeaten run, 31 goals scored, only 4 conceded, and now, national champions. For the departing seniors, it was a perfect farewell, their last game for QEH. This triumph is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and belief throughout the season. An incredible achievement—we couldn’t be prouder of every single player, and a testament to the success of sport at QEH.

QEH’s annual Lizzies Awards celebrated pupil creativity with an inspiring showcase of short films based on the themes ‘Three Wishes’ and ‘Myths’.
