Head’s Welcome

Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital is no ordinary school.

With only around 670 senior and 100 junior pupils, every pupil feels nurtured, supported and understood. Individuals truly matter here.

Whether they are talking to the junior boys in Year 3 or the young women in our Sixth Form, visitors comment on the friendliness and confidence of our pupils. Pupils will highlight the strong relationships that they develop with their peers, and the relationships between staff and pupils as being key to their successes – both in the classroom and beyond.

Rupert Heathcote

Head

We are academically selective but not elitist or socially exclusive. Our pupil body is diverse, embracing a wide range of interests and talents. Examination results at QEH are outstanding. We are in no doubt that this is the result of, not only inspirational teaching, but also the superb pastoral care we provide which means pupils leave us having achieved more than they ever imagined possible when they arrived at QEH. It is a pleasure to work in such a unique place and a privilege to play a part in shaping the lives of the young people of QEH.

I look forward to meeting you, and showing you why QEH stands apart as the best independent school in Bristol.

QEH has surpassed all of our high expectations considerably.
